Biosketch

Jason D. Adler, MD, CEDC, FACEP, FAAEM is a Clinical Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and a nationally recognized expert in emergency medicine documentation, coding, and reimbursement. Dr. Adler is a leader in the business of emergency medicine, working at the intersection of policy, operations, and education to advance revenue cycle management and regulatory compliance. His institutional leadership includes serving as Director of Compliance and Reimbursement for the Department of Emergency Medicine, along with long-standing service supporting system-wide compliance and operational initiatives across the University of Maryland Medical System.

Dr. Adler is also an accomplished educator and national speaker, having delivered more than 130 invited lectures at regional and national venues, including the ACEP Scientific Assembly, AAEM Scientific Assembly, and EDPMA conferences. He currently serves as Co-Course Director for ACEP's flagship Reimbursement and Coding Conference at Accelerate while serving multiple national leadership roles with organizations including ACEP, AAEM, and EDPMA. His scholarly contributions include peer-reviewed research, textbook chapters in CorePendium, and print articles and podcasts addressing emerging issues such as reimbursement policy and artificial intelligence in healthcare. Through his teaching, publications, and national service, Dr. Adler continues to shape the evolving landscape of emergency medicine practice and physician education.
