About our Categorical Emergency Medicine Residency

At the University of Maryland Department of Emergency Medicine, we are committed to developing future academic and community leaders in emergency medicine—starting with our categorical residency in Emergency Medicine.

Our Department provides support to our residents at every step of their training with us—from pairing residents with mentors to hosting retreats and Department-wide events throughout the year, offering a competitive salary and benefits package, and providing stipends for annual conferences in our specialty.
