Dr. Gentry Wilkerson, Associate Professor, Department of Emergency Medicine, has partnered with Drs. Joel Chua and Shivakumar Narayanan as principal investigators of three clinical trials assessing Regeneron’s monoclonal antibody cocktail for the treatment of COVID-19 in hospitalized and ambulatory patients as well as for prophylaxis to prevent infection in people exposed to COVID. The studies were approved to enroll as of the beginning of October.
Preliminary data on the study of this drug in nonhospitalized patients was released September 29.
