Caleb Chan, MD, Assistant Instructor, Department of Emergency Medicine, was honored with a scholarship by the Residents and Medical Students Board of the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine on August 15, 2020. The Advanced Research Methodology Evaluation and Design (ARMED) Scholarship will offset the cost for Dr. Chan to attend the 2020–2021 ARMED course, whose purpose is “to arm participants with the fundamental knowledge and skills to design a high-quality research project and grant proposal to jumpstart their research career.” This is Dr. Chan’s first year as a faculty member of the Department of Emergency Medicine after having graduated as an Emergency Medicine / Internal Medicine Chief Resident in June 2020.
