Overview

We currently train three fellows each year in our ACGME-accredited Pain Medicine Fellowship. Our fellows consistently meet and often exceed ACGME training requirements, including those for advanced interventional procedures.

Training occurs across several affiliated sites: the University of Maryland Rehabilitation & Orthopaedic Institute, the University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC), and the Baltimore Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VA). All sites are located in close proximity, providing fellows with convenient access to a broad spectrum of clinical settings.

Fellows gain experience with a diverse patient population that reflects the full range of acute, chronic, and cancer-related pain conditions. The program emphasizes multidisciplinary exposure. This comprehensive approach equips graduates with the skills needed to deliver compassionate, evidence-based, and patient-centered pain management in both academic and community practice settings.
