How to Apply

Applications for the Pain Medicine Fellowship Program are accepted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) beginning in December. The program director reviews credentials and selects applicants to visit the department for an interview. Application window begins in December and interviews are conducted from April to June. Final selection of fellows is by committee, based upon the application and the interview. The fellowship program abides by the rules of the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP) for final selection of trainees. Fellowship Applications must include the following:

  • ERAS Common Application Form
  • Current curriculum vitae
  • Personal Statement (name and credentials should appear on the personal statement)
  • 3 Letters of Recommendation, one of which should be from the chairman or program director of your training program
  • USMLE I, II & III /COMLEX scores
  • Medical School Transcript
  • Specific In-Service, In-Training exam or Board Scores - Not supported by ERAS application. Please email directly to Fellowship Program Coordinator, Megan O'Brien-Woolston with the following subject "Pain Fellowship Applicant [your first and last name]".
