Pam McCain, Residency Coordinator, was awarded the People's Choice Award for Administrative Professionals Day at UMMC

Pam McCain was awarded the People’s Choice Award for Administrative Professionals Day at UMMC! Pamela was honored at the awards ceremony today. Out of more than 100 nominees, Pamela was awarded the “compassion” award.

Administrative Professionals nominated within the Compassion category are individuals who support the following ideals:

• We provide care and embrace our patients, families, team members, and communities with compassion.
• We demonstrate empathy and kindness in our service to those we serve.
• We seek to understand the perspective of the patients we serve, and strive to support our team members while holding one another accountable in ways that promote a culture of compassionate care.

Since taking on the role of Program Coordinator three years ago, Pam has demonstrated exceptional compassion and unwavering dedication to our trainees, the program, and the department. She has truly transformed our residency office, enhancing its structure, organization, communication, and overall well-being for residents, faculty, and administrative staff alike.

Pam’s impact on our program is the result of her remarkable work ethic, creativity, and deep passion for graduate medical education. Her excellence in organization and communication allows UMMC anesthesiology residents to focus on what matters most: providing outstanding patient care.
