A resident was preparing for an emergency case as the patient was en route to the Operating Room. He noticed that the patient had a “succinylcholine” allergy. He reviewed the chart and confirmed the patient has a history of malignant hyperthermia. Due to the resident’s vigilance and quick action, he took adequate precautions to care for the patient safely.
