Molly Goodfellow, PhD co-author in the June 2020 issue of Experimental Neurology

Mitochondrial Dysfunction and Neuronal Death Protection

A number of faculty from the Department of Anesthesiology and the Center for Shock, Trauma and Anesthesiology Research (STAR), were among the co-authors of a paper to be published early summer.

The work is titled, “Transcriptional activation of antioxidant gene expression by Nrf2 protects against mitochondrial dysfunction and neuronal death associated with acute and chronic neurodegeneration.” It is set to publish in the June 2020 issue of Experimental Neurology.
