Some quick board review pearls.  Remember these fractures/dislocations and the neurologic injury that is associated with them

  • Acetabular fracture – sciatic nerve
  • Anterior shoulder dislocation – axillary and musculocutaneous nerve
  • Elbow dislocation – ulnar or median nerve
  • Hip dislocation
    • Anterior – femoral nerve
    • Posterior – sciatic nerve
  • Humerus – radial nerve
  • Knee Dislocation – peroneal or tibial nerve
  • Olecranon fracture – ulnar nerve
  • Supracondylar fracture – median, radial or ulnar nerve
  • Tibia plateau fracture – peroneal nerve
