Academic Activities and Responsibilities
I have the typical story of wanting to be a doctor since I was seven, but it wasn't until I joined the fire department in college where I fell in love with the lights and sirens and was first introduced to emergency medicine. I grew up in Baltimore and decided to stay in the area for residency, so the combined Emergency Medicine and Pediatrics Residency was the natural choice.
I now split my time between emergency medicine, pediatric emergency medicine and EMS. It is a great combination of all worlds. I have been able to continue teaching and am now the Program Director for the EM/Peds Program program. I continue to be involved with EMS at both the local, regional and state level.
