Academic Activities and Responsibilities

Where to start...well, while a lot of us have "extra" degrees, I think I can safely say I'm the only dentist! I took quite a circuitous route to get here, but once I finally figured out I belonged in EM, I knew Maryland was where I wanted to be.

I grew up in California, moved to Canada for a little while (got a free season pass to Whistler/Blackcomb in exchange for being a nanny - too good a deal to pass up). I went to college in France and then finished up at the University of Washington in Seattle. I was a snowboard bum for a year, then went to dental school in Boston. I loved the city, but not the teeth so much...long story short, here I am!
