Academic Activities and Responsibilities

Why did you choose UMEM?
I knew that I wanted to train at UMEM before I even started medical school. One of the biggest reasons for choosing this program was its reputation for having an unparalleled devotion to teaching and to advancing the field. At UMEM you have the opportunity to work side by side with many of the biggest names in EM. In addition, you get to train at the Shock Trauma Center, which is one of the busiest and most advanced trauma centers in the world. You also get to work with nursing staff and techs who are second to none in their skill and proficiency, and who are some of the most amazing people you could ever ask to be on a team with. I could not imagine a better place to come to work every day.
