This study is recruiting healthy adults to evaluate a new vaccine against avian influenza (“bird flu”).

We are evaluating a new vaccine given as drops in the nose against a strain of bird flu called H5N1. We will give the nasal drop vaccine to volunteers at two different times, 28 days apart. We will then give volunteers a licensed bird flu vaccine as an intramuscular injection approximately 6 months later.

The total time of enrollment will be approximately 13 months.

Qualified participants must be:

  • 18 - 45 years old
  • Generally healthy, not pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Non-smoker or non-vaper in the past year

Compensation will be provided of up to $1,725.00.
