Graduate Education

The University of Maryland at Baltimore's Department of Epidemiology and Public Health has been providing a premier education in public health and epidemiology since 1833. Located in proximity to major hospitals, government health agencies, and health organizations along the Baltimore-Washington corridor, graduates are able to fully take advantage of being at the hub of scientific research and healthcare innovations. Our curriculum is taught by experts in the fields of biostatistics, epidemiology, human genetics, gerontology, infectious diseases, preventive medicine, and students have opportunities to work with these experts on research projects. Graduates of our programs enjoy a vast menu of career opportunities and most are able to secure employment in academia, industry, or government agencies.
