Biacore® instrumentation is available in the Biosensor Core Facility maintained by the Department of Physiology, University of Maryland School of Medicine. Biacore® sensor technology provides a versatile, highly sensitive, easy-to-use, and quantitative approach to study the kinetics and affinity of binding interactions under exquisitely controlled conditions.
This CORE facility is part of the Center for Innovative Biomedical Resources (CIBR) at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. The Confocal Core’s mission is to provide researchers with a wide array of state-of-the-art confocal imaging equipment to enable the acquisition of high-resolution images (both in vivo and in vitro). The Confocal Core offers training and assistance in using multiple confocal microscopes in our facility.
CIBR is the organizational framework for all UMSOM biomedical core resources and serves as a center of excellence for state-of-the-art technologies, high-tech instrumentation, and expertise that supports biomedical research, clinical practice and health care. A listing of all Core Facilities may be found on the CIBR website.
