Research and Quality Improvement

The University of Maryland Division of Nephrology maintains a strong research portfolio, including multiple research projects led by NIH-funded investigators. Our faculty publish in high impact peer reviewed journals and are involved in several clinical trials. Fellows may choose to use dedicated elective time to pursue research interests. In addition, all fellows meet quarterly with their assigned faculty mentors to review progress on scholarly activities, including research and quality improvement projects.
