Center of Excellence in Mental Health, Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Medical Sciences & Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital is a Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India funded (public) facility that serves over 1 million outpatients and 50,000 inpatients (more than 1300 bed) a year. It is one of the largest treatment facilities (including broad and super specialties’) in Asia, covering 32 acres and established in year 1931 in Central Delhi. It was recently designated as Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Medical Sciences-Dr. R.M.L. Hospital (ABVIMS-Dr. R.M.L.H.). Center of Excellence in Mental Health (CEIMH) trains residents in psychiatry, clinical psychology, psychiatric socialwork and psychiatric nursing.
