Interested in Participating in a Research Study?
There are several ways to contact the University of Maryland Older Americans Independence Center (UM-OAIC) to learn about the Center’s projects.
- Online Participant Research Study Interest Form
- Call the Center’s recruitment hotline at 410-605-7179 or 443-226-1478
- Email: Kathleen.Simpson@va.gov
Please note: Completing the online contact, telephoning, visiting in person or sending a letter in no way obligates you to participate in a study. However, it may result in a telephone call or e-mail to assess your level of interest in participating in a research study.
What Happens After I Contact the Center?
Once we receive notification of your interest, a staff member will contact you to collect further information. Participation in a study is voluntary and may require visits to the University of Maryland, Baltimore campus, the Baltimore Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center or other research affiliate locations in the Baltimore area.
