Career Skills in 30

When You're Pressed for Time ...

CARTI presents the Career Skills in 30 seminar series, which covers many of the same topics as our hour-long seminars but in half the time!

Our goal is to provide key tips and research skills that are essential for a successful research career for those who only have a half hour to spare.

These seminars are aimed at postdoctoral fellows through the early-career faculty member level, but all are welcome. Topics we have covered in the past:

  • Communicating with NIH Program Officers and Grants Management Specialists
  • Creating a Lab Website
  • Figures for Your Grant Applications
  • Holding Effective Lab Meetings
  • Holding Effective Mentor Meetings
  • Increasing your Research Visibility and Impact
  • Identifying Sources of Funding for Your Research
