The National Postdoctoral Association designated September 21-25, 2020 as National Postdoc Appreciation Week. The University of Maryland Baltimore honored our postdocs for the entire month of September by hosting numerous events.

Flyer for Syra Madad Keynote. On December 27, 2019, Dr. Syra Madad published an op-ed in the Washington Post, co-written with Ronald A. Klain, former United States Ebola response coordinator for President Obama. The piece warned lawmakers that this vital program is set to expire in May of 2020, urging Congress to renew funding for the system that helps keep Americans safe from a sudden epidemic.
