Education and Training

Dr. Sydney Israel received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Pharmacy in Richmond, VA.  She then completed a PGY1 acute care pharmacy residency at Novant Health in Charlotte, NC prior to returning to Baltimore to pursue a PGY2 pharmacy resident in pain management and palliative care through the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy.

Biosketch

Dr. Israel is a member of the interdisciplinary Palliative Medicine team and works to improve symptom management for patients throughout the hospital.  She participates in the system and local Pain Committees and system-wide palliative initiatives.  She also serves as a preceptor for pharmacy students and residents.
