Deb received her B.A. From Bethany College in Bethany, WVA.  She received her Master of Divinity from Lexington Theological Seminary in Lexington, KY and is ordained through the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).  She served as a congregational pastor in Indiana and Virginia.  She completed a Chaplain Residency at the University Of Kentucky.  She has over 20 years of chaplain experience, most of it in Hospice and Palliative Care and received advanced certification in hospice and palliative care in 2019. 

Deb works with the Palliative team at the University of Maryland hospital, provides debriefing and staff support as well as educational events with medical students, and coordinates care with the other chaplains working at the hospital.  She also enjoys spending time with her mother and two golden retrievers, Griffin and Winston.
