Graeme Thistlewaite, LGSW

Graeme received his MSW from the University of Maryland, Baltimore where he specialized in clinical social work with older adults and their families. He worked as a grief counselor in the hospice field and is trained in Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness Practice, and Person-Centered Frameworks. Graeme also completed an integrated behavioral health fellowship with the BHWISE Program at UMB.

Graeme works on the interdisciplinary Palliative Care team to provide psycho-social and emotional support to patients and families throughout their hospital stay. Starting from conversations with patients and families, he strives to center their experience and facilitate open dialogue about goals of care and meaningful treatment that leads to empowered and whole person decision making.
