Mother Mentor Makes A Difference

The HIV-exposed infants (HEI) prevention graduation was attended by the Nairobi Metropolitan Services (NMS), Prevention of Mother-To-Child Transmission focal point person and NMS HIV coordinators. CIHEB CONNECT supports 65 healthcare facilities with over 1000 HEI across all facilities. This graduation ceremony recognized the dedicated mothers of about 480 negative testing HIV exposed infants. They have remained HIV-negative by completing 18 months of follow-up care to eliminate pre- and post-natal transmission.
