Dr. Kinera will spend her fellowship year at Baylor College of Medicine Children's Foundation in Kampala, Uganda under the mentorship of Phillipa Musoke, MBChB, MMED, PhD, Anna Mandalakas, MD, PhD, FAAP, and Christoph Lange, MD, PHD, FIDSA, FESCMID, FERS. Her research will focus on Post TB Lung Disease in Ugandan children: prevalence and quality of life analysis.

Dr. Kinera is a physician at Baylor Uganda. Her career goals include being a paediatrician with an infectious diseases specialty, with a bias towards childhood TB. She would like to be a researcher, clinician and teacher. Her career path has been influenced by the need in her society, where patients die from infectious diseases that are largely preventable. Furthermore, some great mentors such as Prof. Phillipa Musoke and the contribution they have made in education, research have given Dr. Kinera the impetus to super specialize in infectious diseases.
