All women faculty (clinical, basic science, administrative, full-time, part-time, any rank) comprise the UMSOM-WIMS organization. We welcome any other faculty of any gender who support the mission of the UMSOM-WIMS organization. WIMS is coordinated by an faculty-elected Executive Council.
UMSOM-WIMS Mission:
- To advocate for the recruitment, retainment and promotion of women faculty
- To increase professional development of all women faculty through support, mentorship, sponsorship and networking
- To enhance leadership training and opportunities to women faculty
- To educate women faculty on the processes of career development and advancement
- To enrich women faculty with resources in topics relevant to women in medicine and science
