The microsurgery Lung Transplant Unit at the University of Maryland's Division of Thoracic Surgery was established in late 2020 in Dr. Krupnick’s Lab. Our team has focused on advancing techniques for lung transplantation in various murine models. We specialize in procedures like Orthotopic Lung Transplantation, Pneumonectomy or Lobectomy, lung Anoxic Ischemic Injury Procedures, and several other lung-related surgical models. All our procedures are conducted by an experienced dedicated team of microsurgeons with access to a work-of-an-art microsurgical facility.

Since our inception, we've achieved significant milestones, including publishing many high-impact, peer-reviewed scientific articles based on this unit's capabilities. Open to collaboration, we look forward to extending our expertise to support research on murine transplant models at the University of Maryland, Baltimore.
