Medical School Education
Department of Neurology faculty teach neurology and diseases of the nervous system. Selected faculty members also teach in other areas, such as the Cell and Molecular Biology block in the first year. Third- and fourth-year students complete a four-week clerskship on the Neurology service at the University of Maryland Medical Center, Baltimore VA Medical Center, or University of Maryland Midtown.

Our neurology residents receive a broad inpatient and outpatient clinical neurology experience, dedicated education time with an extensive didactic series, and many opportunities to pursue research and other scholarly activities.
