Fraser Fund for Graduate Education in Genomic Sciences supports various needs of IGS graduate students doing ‘omics research, such as travel to conferences, sequencing and analysis costs, and lab supplies. Your donation is especially important to our graduate students during this exceptional time in science: rapidly evolving genomics research and technology; our deepening knowledge of biology; and advancing discovery from bench to bedside with the promise of precision medicine. 

The fund pays tribute to the legacy of pioneering genomics scientist and IGS Founding Director Claire M. Fraser, PhD, Professor Emerita, University of Maryland School of Medicine. IGS established the fund in 2024 upon Dr. Fraser’s retirement, honoring her passion for scientific education.
