Assistant Professor of Dermatology
Welcome, and thank you for your interest in the University of Maryland Department of Dermatology. Our program’s mission is to train future leaders in the field of dermatology.
We are guided by an educational philosophy rooted in clinical excellence. Our patient care experiences and didactic programming are designed to train dermatologists who deliver evidence-based and compassionate care. Residents gain comprehensive exposure to all subspecialty areas including complex medical dermatology, pediatric dermatology, dermatopathology, and procedural dermatology. Trainees practice in a variety of settings, including our downtown academic center, suburban clinics, and the VA hospital and outpatient facilities, ensuring that they are equipped to care for diverse populations and serve their future communities.
Beyond the bedside, residents are encouraged to engage in translational and clinical research, quality improvement efforts, and medical education. These experiences help to cultivate a spirit of inquiry, reinforce a commitment to lifelong learning, and contribute to the continued advancement of our field. Our faculty are committed to providing individualized mentorship that supports both professional growth and personal development, preparing trainees for impactful careers upon graduation.
We look forward to welcoming the next generation of outstanding dermatologists.
Sincerely,
