International Applicants

Our program sponsors H1B visas for applicants without U.S. citizenship or permanent residency. Prospective residents who have completed a CAMPEP-accredited graduate degree on an F-1 visa may also apply with post-completion Optional Practice Training (OPT) and the 24-month STEM OPT extension. No other visa categories are supported. Please refer to the UMMC GME website for international applicants for more detailed information.

Medical Physics Residency Interviews

After our selection committee has reviewed your application, you will receive an email or phone call informing you of the status of your application. All interviews are by invitation only. Interviews are conducted virtually and are typically scheduled from morning to mid-afternoon.  This format ensures a well-structured interview process for both applicants and faculty, with minimal interruptions. Resident applicants will record a five-minute video presentation and send the recorded file one week before the interview day.
