Contracts and Grants:
Aaron Levy, PhD, Research Associate, and Thomas Blanpied, PhD, John F.B. Weaver Professor in Physiology and Vice Chair, Department of Pharmacology and Physiology, received a two-year, $427,625 grant from the National Institute of Mental Health (NIH/NIMH) for "Identification and Transsynaptic Molecular Context of Docked Synaptic Vesicles by Fluorescence Microscopy."

Christina M. Ferrer, PhD, Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmacology and Physiology, participated in the prestigious Forbeck Forum on Persistence, Apoptosis, and Minimal Residual Disease, held in Dublin, Ireland. This exclusive, invitation-only meeting brought together leading experts in oncology to explore innovative approaches to cancer treatment and resistance mechanisms. Dr. Ferrer presented her work on “Identification of Chemoresistant, Metastasis-Initiating Cells in Pancreatic Cancer,” contributing valuable insights into the mechanisms driving recurrence and therapeutic failure in aggressive pancreatic tumors.
