Honors and Awards:

Colleen Jodarski, MGC, CGC, Instructor, Department of Pharmacology and Physiology and Medicine, was selected as a recipient of a 2025 Maryland and DC Society of Genetic Counselors (MDCGC) Research Award for her work on KCNMA1 gene curation in the lab of Dr. Andrea Meredith, Adjunct Professor, Department of Pharmacology and Physiology. She will present her project at the 2026 MDCGC Annual Education Conference.

Bradley E. Alger, Ph.D., Professor Emeritus, Department of Pharmacology and Physiology, published “Notes on the History of In Vitro Hippocampal Electrophysiology: Personal Reflections,” in Hippocampus in November 2025.

Robert J. Bloch, Ph.D., Professor, Department of Pharmacology and Physiology, was first author of "Dysferlin and the Regulation of Calcium Release in Skeletal Muscle," which was published on-line in Cells on November 3, 2025.

Lishan Su, Ph.D., Professor, Department of Pharmacology and Physiology, was last author of “Depletion of plasmacytoid dendritic cells rescues HIV-reactive stem-like CD8+ T cells during chronic HIV-1 infection,” which was published in Sci Transl Med. November 5, 2025.
