The Division of Growth and Nutrition:

  • conducts externally funded, community-oriented research, including intervention trials to evaluate the implementation of policies and programs that promote children's healthy growth and development.
  • Provides teaching and mentorship to interdisciplinary trainees related to healthy growth and development.
  • Promotes wellness, food security, and child development policies and programs through collaboration with local, state, national and international agencies and professional organizations.
  • Directs an interdisciplinary clinic for young children with growth and/or feeding problems.

To nurture children's growth and development, strengthen families and communities, and inform clinical practice and health policy, through research, education, pediatric care, and evidence-based advocacy.
