Ambulatory Rescheduling

The Ambulatory requirement can be met by completing one of the following courses; all require approval from the Ambulatory Course Director: 

  • AMBL 540 – (Co-registered with an approved on-campus elective; Catalog tag ‘Ambulatory’)
  • AMBL 541 – Off Campus Ambulatory rotation
  • AHEC 548 – Eastern, Western, or Central Maryland AHEC (AHEC Information)
  • FAPH 540 – Indian Health
  • ICME 543 – Ambulatory Global Health

Any changes to the Ambulatory Rotation schedules after the initial scheduling process is completed require approval from the Ambulatory Course Director and/or Administrator.

AMBL 540

AMBL 540 (On-Campus)

  • Check for space in AMBL 540 and in the Ambulatory tagged Elective of interest
  • Complete the Ambulatory Change Request Form
  • Once approved, use the Add/Drop form to add the specific elective/block
  • Once the elective has been added on MedScope, email the Ambulatory Course Administrator to have the Ambulatory Marker (AMBL 540) added (Note: the Ambulatory Marker is required to receive Ambulatory Credit for graduation).

 

AMBL 541

AMBL 541 (Off-Campus Ambulatory)

  • Complete the Extramural Rotation form (See section on Extramural/Away rotations). Proof of preceptor acceptance will be required.
  • Indicate the Ambulatory Course Director as 'Faculty approver' on the form.
  • If site is international, follow instructions for ICME 543

AHEC 548

AHEC 548 (Off-Campus Eastern, Western, Central Maryland AHEC)

FAPH 540

FAPH 540 (Indian Health)

  • Communicate plans with both Dr. Leah Millstein and Dr. Kate Jacobson
  • Complete the Extramural Rotation form (See section on Extramural/Away rotations). Proof of site acceptance will be required.
  • Indicate the Ambulatory Course Director as “faculty approver” on the form.

ICME 543 (Global Health)

ICME 543  (Global Health)

  • Complete the Extramural Rotation Form (See section on Extramural/Away rotations). Proof of acceptance will be required.
  • Indicate the Ambulatory Course Director as 'Faculty approver' on the form.
  • Additional paperwork is required for international rotations see Special Approval/International Rotations section.
