Campus Safety

Campus safety is a priority at UMB. We have a well-staffed and professional University Police force, whom we are proud to partner with in achieving their mission to promote a safe and secure environment for students, faculty, staff and visitors. The UMB Department of Police and Public Safety offers a variety of services to our campus. Their mission is Their website outlines these services, lists important phone numbers to use in case of emergency, and provides updates on safety alerts on and around campus. Our students should exercise good judgment as they travel on and around campus and utilize resources for a ride, escort, or buddy.

UMB Safe Walk/Safe Ride can be requested using the Mobile UMB app that can be download from the Apple store or Google Play.
