Co-Designing Recommendations to Increase Youth Participation

in filling out questionnaires and other methods to share their views on their health and experiences in mental health services

Purpose

The goal of this study is to create a list of recommendations on how to improve the way early intervention in psychosis clinics in Maryland and Pennsylvania choose and use youth-reported questionnaires. These kinds of measures are an important tool for young people to share their perspectives. Young people may have many reasons for using these ways of sharing their perspective — or reasons why they choose not to share their perspectives. We are hoping to better understand these reasons to improve the experience of sharing perspectives in early intervention for psychosis clinics.

What Will Participants Be Asked to Do?

  1. Complete a short background survey.
  2. Attend a half-day workshop to put together a list of recommendations.
  3. Complete a survey on the final version of the list of recommendations.
