Consultation on Disengagement Experiences
Purpose
CLHS is interested in making specialized early psychosis services, generally referred to as Coordinated Specialty Care (CSC), a better fit for individuals and their families. We will be developing a novel, lived experience co-designed and co-led service to support individuals to stay in CSC. We are interested in learning what might have made a difference for individuals who started a CSC program and left without completing the program.
What Will Participants Be Asked to Do?
Participation involves taking part in a virtual focus group. Each group will last 1.5 hours. Participants will be asked to introduce themselves and share their experiences, what they feel would have improved their CSC experiences, and weigh in on ideas for the new service that is under development. We anticipate group discussion about common ideas.
Eligible Participants
- Persons who started Coordinated Specialty Care (CSC) and left without completing it for any reason.
- Persons who had periods of leaving and returning during their time in CSC
- Family Members of individuals who left CSC and did not support this decision
- Family Members of individuals who left CSC and did support this decision
- Family Members of individuals who left CSC and whose loved one experienced significant challenges after leaving
