Pertussis can be a life threatening Infection!! Especially in infants and young children.
- Age younger than 1 year
- Pneumonia
- Apneic or cyanotic spells or hypoxia
- Moderate-to-severe dehydration
Pertussis is a reportable infectious disease in the United States.
