Search
- AKI can be seen in up to 40% of ICU patients
- Around 5-10% require treatment with renal replacement therapies
- The most common cause is acute tubular necrosis
- Definition by KDIGO:
- Increase in Creatinine by 0.3 or more within 48 hours OR
- Increase in Cr to >1.5 x baseline, presumed to have occured within the prior 7 days
- Urine volume <0.5 mL/kg/hr x 6 hours
