Improving Health and Well-Being Across Maryland
On Social
At the heart of everything we do is a commitment to healthier communities. Each year, our faculty, students, and staff dedicate over 400,000 volunteer hours, partnering with more than 250 community organizations to make a meaningful impact on over 2,500 individuals statewide.
Our community health educational programs provide vital information about diabetes, nutrition, asthma, heart disease, HIV/AIDS, and more. Community outreach spans hospitals, clinics, homeless shelters, and schools throughout Maryland.
We focus on six key areas to improve health and economic vitality:
-
Access to Clinical Care
-
Community Health and Outreach
-
Economic and Workforce Development
-
STEM Education and Pipeline Programs
-
Social Support
-
Health Equity
