Educational Excellence Fund
- Internal Educational Series. Fund meeting and presentation costs for an annual on-campus Center research symposium. The purpose is to update the University of Maryland stem cell research community on new discoveries, technologies and projects at each of the Center’s laboratories. Prizes will be awarded to the most outstanding poster presentations. (starting at $1,000)
- Speaker and Seminar Series. Fund costs to bring a leading stem cell scientist to give a lecture explaining exciting new research results. The invited speaker will also meet individually with a small number of the Center’s faculty and attend the research symposium (as well as help judge for prizes). The series includes the cost of travel, hotel, dinner and honorarium. (starting at $1,500)
Awards for Young Leaders in Stem Cell Science
- Scholarships to Pre- and Post-Doctoral Students for Research and Educational Opportunities. This scholarship provides partial funding for a position. (starting at $5,000)
- Awards for Pre- and Post-Doctoral and Junior Faculty Positions. This award provides partial or full funding for needed positions. (starting at $100,000)
