UMSOM Advancing Physician-Scientist Development, Community Engagement And Dissemination (AHEAD) Program

The AHEAD Program is supported by the Burroughs Wellcome Foundation and Doris Duke Foundation. This program is designed to augment physician-scientist professional development through research support, manuscript and grant writing assistance, as well as acquisition of career development awards. Also, the goal of this award is to enhance understanding of health equity through attendance of conferences that specifically address health equity, as well as connection with community members.

There are several services that are available to the UMSOM research community who are selected to become AHEAD Scholars. Some of those include individual Principal Investigator support, editorial services, statistical services, grant review and attendance to health equity workshops and seminars.
