Faculty Development Workshops
The Faculty Development Workshop "Preparing for Promotions" is tailored to a wide range of medical specialties and aims to equip participants with essential skills for professional advancement.
In preparation for promotion, we encourage faculty to begin keeping Clinical and Teaching Portfolios to review annually with their Chairman. This workshop will assist with the development of both the Clinical and Teaching Portfolios and offer guidelines on preparing a Curriculum Vitae.
Faculty Promotions Breakfast
Join us for the Faculty Promotions Breakfast, an engaging event designed to help faculty navigate the path to promotion. Over a light breakfast, participants will gain valuable insights into the tenure process, including a review of current promotion guidelines and access to successful tenure packets.
This program offers practical strategies for collaboration to increase publications, share inspiring stories from faculty who have successfully applied for tenure, and provide opportunities to connect with UMSOM clinical and basic science faculty who have achieved this milestone.
