The University of Maryland School of Medicine’s Department of Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine will host the Fifth Annual Alavi-Bradley Symposium on Molecular Imaging and Theranostics on November 3, 2026. This symposium was made possible by a generous donation from Dr. Abass Alavi and his wife, Dr. Jane Alavi. The goal of the symposium is to bring together physicians, scientists, and students interested in advancing molecular imaging and developing theranostic agents and applications for image-guided therapy. The symposium will offer a series of lectures on a wide range of topics on molecular imaging and theranostics and provide ample opportunities for formal and informal discussions and networking with experts in molecular imaging. CME credit will be offered.
The keynote speaker at this year's symposium will be Ananth Annapragada, PhD who will speak on "Nanoparticle Enhanced CT and MR Imaging." Dr. Annapragada is Professor of Radiology, Director of Basic Research and Vice-Chair of Research in the Edward B. Singleton Department of Radiology, Professor (by courtesy) of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Member of the Dan L. Duncan Comprehensive Cancer Center at Texas Childrens Hospital and Baylor College of Medicine.
Dr. Abass Alavi also will speak at the event.
