Institute for Neuroscience Discovery (UM-MIND)

At the University of Maryland – Medicine Institute for Neuroscience Discovery (UM-MIND), we aim to accelerate translational research of the brain by facilitating interaction between basic and clinical scientists and enhancing collaborative research across the University of Maryland School of Medicine (UMSOM), the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB), and with our local and regional partners.

Clinical Neuroscience Network

The University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS) and Medical Center's (UMMC) clinical neurosciences services are nationally recognized pioneers in their respective fields: Neurosurgery for its use of noninvasive and minimally invasive techniques. Neurology for breakthrough treatments for a broad range of disorders. Together, we provide a full range of integrated services and clinical programs, offering patients comprehensive clinical services and revolutionary therapies.

Graduate Program in Neuroscience

The Graduate Program in Neuroscience trains outstanding graduate students to earn a PhD degree in neuroscience. We are an interdisciplinary program spanning several departments in the Schools of Medicine, Dentistry, and Nursing. Our alumni fill top-tier academic, government, and industry positions worldwide.
