The Institutional Biosafety Committee provides oversight of biosafety for NIH-funded research involving recombinant or synthetic nucleic acid molecules.
Animal Welfare
The Office of Animal Welfare Assurance (OAWA) facilitates and assists faculty who conduct animal research to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, policies and procedures. The OAWA supports the UMB Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee.
