Pass & Susel Academy of Educational Excellence

Drs. Carolyn Pass and Richard Susel established the University of Maryland School of Medicine Academy of Education Excellence, which is designed to recognize faculty members and other educators who demonstrate excellence in bedside, classroom, and/or innovative medical education.

Annual Jamasbi Awards

The Annual Jamasbi Awards honor excellence in medical education over the previous year regarding innovation, curriculum development, service, mentorship, and scholarship.

Professional Development Awards

MELA has funding available each year to support members' participation in professional development activities. Suggested programs include AAMC Professional Development, Harvard Macy Institute Courses, and Stanford Medical Education Courses.
