Fall course: MEES620 Environment, Society, and Health

MEES 620 is the core course for the Environment, Health, and Society Foundation within the Marine Estuarine Environmental Sciences (MEES) Program. The Environment, Health, and Society Foundation, and this course, is the outcome of a collaboration between Health Sciences at the University of Maryland Baltimore (UMB), Physical Sciences at the University of Maryland, College Park (UMCP), and Environmental Sciences at the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Sciences (UMCES). The course introduces students to interdisciplinary approaches to studying the environment, society, health, and especially the intersection of the three topics. The goal is to provide a foundational understanding of the environment for addressing socio-environmental issues impacting human health and society.
